Made for French Bulldogs
A front clip harness for a French Bulldog has a leash ring or loop on his chest, so a lunge swings his front end toward you, not straight ahead.
We have two: the Front-Clip No-Pull Harness, with a metal ring on a foam-padded panel, and the Quick-Dry Reflective Harness, with a strap loop on thin cloth.
A Reddit reply to a Frenchie owner put it plainly: “if it has a front loop for your leash to clip onto, use it.” Here is how to pick.
Here is what a chest clip does not do. It turns him, and it does not teach him to stop pulling. A strong dog can keep going, so stop when the leash goes tight, and walk on when it goes slack.
Both of these go over his head. If he hates that, neither is for him: a step-in harness closes behind his shoulders and never touches his head. You will find them on the step-in harnesses page.

One with a leash point on his chest, because a lunge then swings his front end toward you. Here that is the Front-Clip Harness, a metal ring on a foam-padded panel, or the Quick-Dry Reflective, a strap loop on thin cloth. Neither teaches loose-leash walking. That part is training.
Only a leash point on the chest changes what a lunge does: the leash swings his front end toward you. A ring on his back changes nothing. None of them trains him. When the leash goes tight, stop, and walk on when it goes slack.
A 25 lb (11.3 kg) dog takes size M in the Front-Clip Harness, which covers 7.5 to 17.5 kg (16.5 to 38.6 lb). The Quick-Dry Reflective goes by chest instead: tape him just behind the front legs, and M closes around 46 to 61 cm.
The size whose range holds his number. The Front-Clip Harness goes by weight: S is 4 to 7.5 kg, M is 7.5 to 17.5 kg. The Quick-Dry Reflective goes by chest: M is 46 to 61 cm, L is 56 to 80 cm. If he lands between two sizes, take the larger.
The chest panel slides to one side when you tug the leash, which means the straps are too loose. Three fingers under a strap says the same. A strap lying in his armpit is in the wrong place. Take the straps up, and check again on the third and tenth walk.
By weight for the Front-Clip Harness, by chest for the Quick-Dry Reflective. For the chest, stand him on a floor he does not slip on and take a soft tape around the widest part of his rib cage, just behind the front legs. Keep it flat and snug, and add nothing for slack.
