The leash is in the box, in the same fabric

Most harnesses arrive alone and the leash is a separate decision, usually in whatever black nylon was on the shelf. This one ships as a pair: the lead is cut from the same cloth as the chest panel, in the same colour, with a metal clip at one end and a flat loop handle at the other. One order, one look.

A checked panel across the chest, not a strap across the throat

The pattern sits where a Frenchie is widest — a padded gingham panel that spreads across the breastbone. A padded bow sits on the left of that panel. The straps that carry the pull run over the shoulders and meet a metal D‑ring on the back, so the leash lifts from above the shoulder blades rather than from the front of the neck.

On in one movement, closed with one click

Front legs step through the two openings, the padded panel lands on the chest, and a single side‑release buckle at the neck closes it. A slider on the strap takes up the slack once, and after that the harness goes on the same way every time.

Five colours, all of them gingham

Pink, blue, green, purple and red — each one a two‑tone check with a contrasting padded bow and a leash cut to match. The webbing, the buckle and the sliders are colour‑matched to the check rather than left black.

The supplier measures by hand, so treat the numbers as being two to three centimetres either way, and leave two fingers of room when you measure.

Which size does an adult French Bulldog take?
Usually XL. Measure around the chest just behind the front legs: 54 to 62 centimetres is XL, 50 to 56 is L. If he measures wider than 62 centimetres, this set will not close on him and a different harness is the honest answer.
Is the leash really included?
Yes. Every colour ships as a harness plus a matching leash in the same fabric, with a metal clip and a flat handle. There is no version of this set sold without it.
Can he back out of it?
The straps sit behind the front legs and close over the back, so it is not a slip‑over collar he can reverse out of. It still has to be snug — two fingers under the strap, no more.
How do I wash it?
By hand, in cool water with a mild soap, then air‑dry out of direct sun. The padded panel holds water, so give it a day. Do not put it in the machine or the dryer.
Does the bow come off?
No. The bow is stitched to the chest panel, so it stays where it is through washes and walks.
